Abel Wright— Owner

Lawn care has been a part of my life since I was a kid helping my dad mow our yard. In 2017, my friend, Graham, and I started cutting neighborhood lawns under the name TwoKids&ACart. What began with just a couple of yards quickly grew, and by 2020 we were maintaining more than a dozen yards. Over time, we upgraded to commercial-grade equipment and built out a full trailer setup.

In 2024, I officially launched Kelly Creek Lawn Service, LLC, becoming fully licensed and insured. When Graham left for college in the fall of 2025, I continued running the business on my own. Today, my focus is simple: dependable service, fair and honest pricing, and top-quality lawn care. As an owner-operated business, I am on-site for every job to ensure the work is done right.

I grew up in North Carolina before moving to Alabama in 2012, so Birmingham has been home for most of my life. Family is a big part of who I am, and I spend as much time with them as I can. I love fishing with my dad when we both get the chance, getting coffee with my two older sisters, and riding the golf cart around the neighborhood with my younger sister. Some of my favorite moments are sitting on the porch talking with my mom. I also enjoy walking and playing with my dog, Kono, and—no surprise—I take pride in keeping my own yard one of the nicest in the neighborhood.

I try to live by honesty, generosity, and a strong work ethic, whether it’s in my business or in my everyday life. People tell me I can always make them laugh, and I like bringing that same positive energy to my work. Looking ahead, my goal is to grow Kelly Creek Lawn Service into a small two- or three-person crew while maintaining the same personal service and attention to detail that have built my reputation.
